SPScripps Pier Cam11:11a

Scripps Pier Cam observation: visibility 26–32 ft (auto, high confidence). The 4 ft right-edge piling and the 11 ft piling both show resolved algal growth, hardware and crossbracing, and the 14 ft back-left piling reads as a solid outline with softened texture. The far 30 ft piling left-of-center is still discernible as a low-contrast silhouette against the bright blue water, with sand ripples visible well into the background, indicating an exceptionally clear day.

Viz is looking good this morning! We’re seeing around 20ft on average, with some cleaner pockets pushing closer to 25ft . The water is blue and still a little hazy at a distance, but it’s definitely clearing up from what we’ve been seeing over the last couple weeks. The tide briefly pulls out late morning but starts a steady push back in through the afternoon , which should help keep some cleaner water moving in. Hopefully that gives things a chance to stay clearing up as the day goes on. Swell
