About Escondido Beach Reefs (East of Point Dume)

Malibu's legal white seabass water: the reef and kelp east of Paradise Cove, clear of both Point Dume MPAs. Spring squid runs bring the ghosts through here. Legality: Open waters east of Paradise Cove. The Point Dume SMR (no-take) covers Dume Cove west of 118°47.26'W, never cross Paradise Cove going west. The west-side Point Dume SMCA allows pelagics + white seabass only.
